- The Anointer: vs 6-13. When have you done a ‘beautiful thing’ for Jesus like ‘the woman,’ or at least hosted a dinner for Jesus like Simon the leper?
- The Betrayer: vs 14-16, 47-50. When have you ever profited off of Jesus or used Him for your own agenda, or just sold out on your faith?
- The Fighter: vs 50-56. When have you ever fought for Jesus, defending Him when He doesn’t need it? What does Jesus say about the fighter in v. 52?
- The Accuser: vs 57-67. When have you ever accused Jesus for the purposes of dismissing Him and doing what you want?
- The Denier: vs 31-35, 69-75. When have you had the best of intentions but when things went south you just deny your association with Jesus whether by word or deed?
- The Messiah: all the red letters. How does Jesus respond to each (and the Father in vs 39 & 42)? How can you apply Jesus’ example to not be distracted by less important things and stay fully obedient to the Father despite what you want?
- Do you really value time around the table with Jesus and each other, or are you often too busy or distracted?
