Jabbocked!~ Gen 30-34

  1. So far in Genesis who is your hero? Enoch (walked with God), Noah (walked with God), Abraham (believed God and counted righteous), Isaac or Sarah (submission),   Jacob (fighter), Esau (forgiver), other?
  2. Is your experience of God more “meditative” like Isaac in 24:63 or more “striving” like Jacob in 32:24?
  3. For Laban’s family it was God + divination (30:37) + foreign gods (35:2) + cheating (31:7.)  What are you tempted to add to your relationship with God and expect him to bless it?
  4. Who did Jacob wrestle (32:24-31)?
  5. Why did God leave Israel with a limp and not heal it? (32:31)  Do you have such a “limp?”
  6. Jacob was transformed to Israel, how was Esau changed (27:41, 33:4)?
