~ Gen 20-21
- Did Abraham leave his wife vulnerable out of fear and unbelief (20:11), or because Abraham knew God would protect her and he was just being prudent (20:13)?
- Do you suppose Abimelech knew God prior to this or just got to know him (20:3-4)?
- Is your behavior different when you are at home (Gen 12:1 & 20:13) than when you are a nomad missionary in a strange land?
- Is it significant that Sarah’s barrenness is healed (21:1-2) after Abraham prays for Abimelech’s barren women (20:18)?
- God made laughter/Isaac for Sarah. What laughter is good (17:17, 21:6), what laughter isn’t (18:12, 21:9)?
- When is it good for a husband to listen to his wife (21:12) and when isn’t it (3:17, 16:2)?
- Who has more integrity: Abimelech or Abraham (20:9, 21:23)?
- Do you know the “God who hears” (21:17) and “the Lord, the everlasting God” (21:33)? Can planting trees be worship?
