  1. How similar is Jeroboam’s calling from the two kings before him (1 Kings 11:26-40)?
  2. Who does Rehoboam seek council from? Who doesn’t he? (1 Kings 12)
  3. When is the time only Jeroboam seeks God? How does God seek him? (1 Kings 14)
  4. Even if you are a “man of God” or an “old prophet” what happens if you are not fully obedient to God            (1 Kings 13)?
  5. What is Jeroboam’s response to the man of God in Chapter 13? According to Jesus in Luke 16:31, what else can be done to convince someone?
  6. What do the sins of their fathers and the religions of their mothers have to do with a king’s desire to serve the Lord (1 Kings 15:2-3)?
  7. If one’s desire is to serve the Lord, what kind of hard decisions must be made (15:13)? Have you had to make similar decisions? Does Ezra 10:3 sound harsh?
