1) Is God more or less pleased with those who suffer or die tragically? Why do we die; why did Jesus come (Romans 3:23)? When someone close to us dies, should that bring us closer to the Father or further away?

2) Who do the characters in the fig parable represent? What are you doing with your gracious second chance? Why does the Father give us more time?

3) Is following Jesus about twisting or straightening, binding or loosening, bondage or freedom? Do you know freedom in Christ or do you feel obligated to God?

4) How is the kingdom like a mustard seed or yeast?

5) Why is the door narrow? How can you miss it, especially if you are first?

6) In this chapter, who is killing, destroying and holding back? Who is for life, blessing and more?

7) How can you miss out on Jesus’ kingdom?
