- Have you ever asked God for a sign? (vs 12:38 & 16:1) Does Matthew 16 suggest that asking for signs are bad? What sign does Jesus promise in verse 28?
- How does God work in your life? Is there a pattern to the way that you have come to interact with God? a) (vs 13-20) When have you “got it” like Peter? What needs to be bound or loosed in your life? b) (vs 21-23) Like Peter, when have you been against God’s plan?
- How does Matthew 16 define Christian Maturity? What have you been taught Christian Maturity looks like, or how have you come to understand Christian Maturity? Does that match Matthew 16’s definition?
- How are you a witness to the Kingdom of God here on earth? How are you doing carrying your cross?
